Saturday Sunrise at Bearfence

OVERVIEW

I could use some calm, quiet, and reflection in nature, and I am sure some of you could as well. This will be a beginner hike to Bearfence in the Shenandoah National Park this Saturday to see the sunrise. Bearfence is one of my favorite hikes and is a wonderful sunrise spot. I have a SNP pass so this trip is entirely free!!! Just show up and enjoy the company.

To Bring:
1. Headlamp (get one from the gear room if you need)
2. Warm clothes (it will be COLD)
3. Water
4. Journal? Music? Snacks? Other?

Schedule:
4:45 am – Meet at Bonnycastle Circle and leave
5:45 am – Arrive at Bearfence Trailhead and hike
6:25 am – Reach the summit
6:40 am – Sunrise!
7:00 am – Hike back down
7:30 am ish – Leave
8:30 am ish – Return to Bonnycastle
