Saturday Turk Mountain Sunset Hike [02/03]

OVERVIEW

We’re going to Turk Mountain to bully the sun until it hides from us!

This should be a quick trip, just a 45 minute drive each way and a 2.4 mile out-and-back hike, with some time spent on the summit to watch the sunset, so everyone should be back in time for any evening plans you might have. Some things to note, it will be dark on the way back, so make sure to bring a flashlight (a phone flashlight works but ideally something more powerful), and also please be on time so we don’t miss the sunset! I plan on leaving right at 4:01, so maybe get there a little early if you don’t want to be left behind.

Also, priority goes to drivers (you get reimbursed + a 50% tip), and anyone with a [Shenandoah] National Parks Pass so we can get into the park. The rest will picked via random number generator Thursday evening so don’t worry if you’re not quick on the waitlist draw.
