Short Folks Climbing Day (@ Slaughter)

CALLING ALL SHORT KINGS, QUEENS, AND MONARCHS!

Do you like climbing but are vertically challenged???

Have you wanted to try climbing as a short person but are intimidated by all the tall lanky bros haunting the gym???

Are you tired of getting useless beta from your tall climbing friends???

If you answered yes to any of these questions then I have the trip for you!

This Saturday I will be attempting to gather as many short climbers in the Slaughter Climbing Gym as possible. As a 5’2 climber myself, I would love to see more short representation in the gym. My intention is to gather like-heighted people so that we can hang out, share useful beta, and encourage new short climbers to try the sport. This is intended to be a beginner trip – I have only been climbing for ~8 months and average around V3, so I’m no expert. I would love short peeps of all climbing experiences on this trip, so there’s no restrictions or expectations for climbing experience!

There’s no hard cutoff for height here, but my suggestion would be ~5’4 and under. But if you’re taller than that I’d still love to see you there 🙂

Even if the trip fills up, please feel free to show up anyway and bring all your non-ODC short friends!

**If you’ve never been to Slaughter Climbing Center, I would recommend filling out the waiver and watching the orientation video ahead of time

Schedule:
2 pm: Show up
2pm-4pm: Climb Climb
4pm: I’ll be leaving, but you’re welcome to stay or leave earlier depending on your stamina

To bring:
Climbing shoes if you have them (otherwise you can borrow from Slaughter)
Water maybe?
Your wonderful vertically challenged self
