116 Washington Avenue - A.K.A. Shred Shack
James River Park
426 South Laurel Street, Richmond, VA, USA
In celebration of new beginnings, let’s ride bikes in Richmond this upcoming Sunday. If you’ve never ridden the trails downtown surrounding the James River, then you’re in for a treat. These trails offer a little bit of everything from steep climbs, tight turns, and roots and rocks (lots and lots of rocks). I’m hoping to ride this 10-15 mile loop around 6 or so when the weather cools down. We’ll be done by sunset or whenever people want to bail. I could also be convinced to shred Pocahontas if enough people want to taste that buttery goodness.
YOU BRING:
Bike/Helmet (Club can provide)
1 Water bottle at the least (can refill along the trail)
Snacks
Colin’s Famous Nut Butter
Previous mountain biking experience is a must, as these trails are decently technical. If you have questions about your skill level, let me know and I’ll talk to you about it. I’ll be in Richmond already, so I’ll help coordinate rides from Cville and Bikes/Helmets available for borrowing. If you can drive and can carry bikes/fit a club bike rack on your car, please offer to drive people if you can. Remember, there’s gas reimbursement and a tip for drivers.
Holler with any questions. Let’s rock, let’s rock, Sunday.
