Corner Of Echols Dorm
Uwharrie National Forest
The Sierra Student Coaltion is the student run branch of the Sierra Club. This group is hosting a Southeast conference this coming weekend in Uwharrie National Forest, North Carolina, for all students interested in environmental issues. I think about fifty people are signed up for it so far, and some are coming far as far away as Flordia. It’ll be an awesome way to meet other activists and to make plans for ways to work on environmental problems. When you sign up, register from the site below, but don’t worry about the registration fee. (If you have any questions, just email me!).
To bring: We’ll be camping out, so you’ll need a sleeping bag, sleeping pad, and a tent if you have them. Also, be prepared for cool weather. You’ll need some money for food on the road Friday evening and Sunday morning.
Club will provide: $20 Participation fee which covers all meals for Saturday.
