Simple Redbud Foraging and Syrup Making

OVERVIEW

Are the redbuds driving you mad with their raw beauty and glorious presence this time of year?
Did you know that redbuds are edible and ever so slightly sweet?
Furthermore, did you know that they can be used to make simple syrup and that it’s actually the same color pink as the beautiful beautiful flower?

This trip is gonna wander around grounds foraging and not eating ~too many ~ little flowers along the way. Then a stove, strainer, a few lemons and a lot of sugar will magically appear, and we will sit down to rinse, boil, stir and sample our sweet treat. Bring a small container if you want to take some home!

1 hr wandering around looking for redbuds
30-40mins making the simple syrup
The goal is to finish somewhere around grounds by 5pm
