Skydiving!

OVERVIEW

If you have ever wanted to go skydiving, here’s your chance. We will be heading to Skydive Orange which is only 45 min away from Charlottesville. Everyone will be doing a tandem skydive where you will be attached to a skilled instructor. The plane will go up to 13,500 ft and you will experience approximately 50 seconds of freefall and 3-4 min of canopy flight. There is a short ground training (~20 – 30 min) required for the tandem jump, and then just waiting for your turn to experience the ride of your life! There is a secondary jump option available called AFF (Accelerated FreeFall). In this option you take a 6-7 hour course and after completing the course you jump with your own parachute with two instructors assisting you and keeping you safe during freefall. This option is more designed for people interested in getting their skydiving license and jumping by themself in the future and will cost an extra $100 compared to the tandem. If you are someone who only is looking to make one skydive then I would suggest going with a tandem jump. Fear of Heights?
If you’re afraid of heights, don’t worry, skydiving is still for you. When you are that high up, the ground doesn’t appear the same way as it does when you are nearer the ground, and I personally know a lot of people who are afraid of heights that love skydiving.

There is a chance that we will be able to get a group discount which will save us some money on the tandem, but at this point expect to spend $255 cash or $270 credit. This sounds like a lot of money, but take my word for it when I say that it is worth every penny you will spend and it is something you are going to remember for the rest of your life!

REQUIREMENTS:
-$50 non refundable deposit per person (can be rescheduled to another day)
-Each person must be at least 18 years old, able to read, write understand English, be in reasonably good physical and mental condition, and be under 220 lbs.
-Bring a picture ID with DOB like a driver’s, and arrive on time.

We do have to give them a $50 non refundable deposit per person. If there is bad weather the day we go to jump then our jump will be rescheduled to another day. I will handle the deposit and scheduling as you sign up and are added to the trip, but you will remain waitlisted until I receive the deposit from you.
**Because of having to schedule a large group to jump the same day I would encourage you to sign up for the trip and get me your deposit as early as possible to make sure there is room for you**

Because I’m expecting a large group to want to go, be prepared to spend the majority of the day at Orange. They have wifi so if you’re so inclined you can work on school work there. There are also restaurants around so you can either bring lunch or plan on eating out while there.
