OVERVIEW

Come out to The Lawn this Sunday at 2pm to try your hand at slacklining. This is a great sport started by rock climbers, in principle similar to tightrope walking. Instead of a rope, 1 inch tubular webbing is used, and the rope bends and sways under your weight. Not only is it fun, but it’s a great way to improve balance and coordination.

For more info about slacklining or some pictures, check out this website http://www.slackline.com/

No experience necessary, absolutely anyone can do it, and you get better surprisingly fast. I started last spring, on an outdoors club trip, and I haven’t been able to stop. We meet at the north end of The Lawn (by the Rotunda), just look for the guys stringing a rope between two trees. Everyone is welcome, bring some friends, and come and go whenever it fits your schedule.

All you need to bring is yourself, possibly in sandals since we do it barefoot, and maybe some water if it is going to be a hot day.
