Corner Of Echols Dorm
UVa Community Garden
Echols Dormitory University of Virginia, McCormick Road, Charlottesville, VA, USA
Hello everyone!
It’s looking like this Friday is going to be a nice sunny day, aka, a perfect day for slacklining! If you’ve never been slacklining before, don’t hesitate to join this trip because you won’t be the only beginner there– I’m one myself. On the other hand, if you’re a seasoned slackliner please feel free to join so you can share your wisdom with us all. This is going to be a super chill trip that works for people of every slacklining ability.
The plan is to meet at the corner of Echols dorm at 3:30 pm on Friday, take our trusty slackline to the trees at the community garden, and then hang out, slackline, and maybe listen to some tunes. As for what to bring, all you need is a mask and some flat soled shoes– sneakers or sturdy sandals like Chacos work well. I personally like to go barefoot on the slackline, so I’ll be wearing shoes I can easily take on and off– you can go that route if you’re a barefoot slackliner like me. You also might want to bring a blanket to sit on while you’re taking a break from slacklining, and water and snacks are always a good idea!
