Bonnycastle Circle
Snowshoe Mountain
Some folks look at a 60-degree forecast and think “Gee, what a swell day for a hike!” Others think “woo, let’s go climbing!” or “Biking it is!”
I’m not one of those people, as long as there’s still snow on the ground somewhere. Snowshoe still has plenty of it, and I haven’t gotten my spring break skiing fix just yet, so I’m heading out there for a day trip on Saturday.
(Shirtlessness is completely optional, but know that I don’t intend to leave without doing at least one run down Cupp sans cotton. If this makes you want to join the trip even more, great. If this makes you not want to join the trip at all, well… sorry.)
The usual applies: if you have your own gear and a season pass, all you need is a ride. If you need to rent gear or buy a lift ticket, you can check out prices at http://www.snowshoemtn.com.
I plan to bring my own lunch, but if you don’t feel like eating squished sandwich triangles bring some cash for food.
Drivers will be given priority; everyone will be waitlisted until we’ve enough cars for all. Per usual, the club will pay for gas.
The signup deadline is 8pm Friday the 6th, but if you for some reason wake up early on Saturday and decide you want to come, give me a call and I’ll let you know if there’s room for you.
