OVERVIEW

I know what you’re thinking. After 4 days of classes you can’t take it anymore and must have Snowshoe. Well, I have taken meticulous care to formulate a well conceived machination extricating you from this deplorable dilemma. It should be snowing there through Thursday, and temperatures will be cold enough to make extra snow.

We’ll leave Bonnycastle at 6 am to be at Snowshoe about the time the lifts open. My intent is to leave about 6 or 7 PM to get a little night skiing at Silver Creek before it gets really cold and the after-dinner crowds arrive. If you intend to drive, get plenty of sleep because it will likely be nearly 9 hours of skiing combined with 6 total hours of driving (unless you are comfortable switching drivers with those sleeping on the way there). We’ll meet around lunchtime to check-in with when people may want to leave. Lunch is on your own; I’m sick of Hoot’s so I’ll eat somewhere else or to save money you might consider power bars.

I need cars to transport gear. Everyone will be waitlisted until I have confirmed vehicles to do this. If you have the ability, you’re first off the list.

If you have your own gear and pass, the cost is $0 (excluding food, which is 10% off when you show the cashier your season pass.) If you do not have a lift pass, I understand Freestyle sells them for $59 (Snowshoe price is $75!). I believe ski rental at Snowshoe is about $30.
