After Snowshoe received a whopping 38 inches of snow this week, I’ve decided I am too impatient to wait until December to hit the slopes. Time for a day trip! Snowshoe expects to have up to 16 trails open for the Thanksgiving holiday, well worth the 6 hours of driving in one day.
We will be leaving at 6 am sharp on Sunday, November 30. We should arrive at the mountain by 9 am, be able to ski all day, and head back to cville when the lifts close at 4 pm. We we be back in cville at 7, in time to finish up that homework that is well worth putting off.
The trip fee will be a grand total of $0 if you have your own gear and snowshoe season pass. If not, you are responsible for providing yourself with rentals ($30) and a lift ticket ($55). Also, even though gas is paid for, bring some cash for meals.
I will waitlist everyone until more drivers sign up. Let’s hit the slopes.
