I’m re-announcing this adventure because I had to move it up a week since I just found out that one of my good friends is getting married that weekend. So it won’t be Mardi Gras weekend, but that doesn’t mean we can’t pretend like it is! It will also be on Friday the 13th, so we should have a good share of accidents and other misfortunes, making for an even more interesting weekend.
Can’t make it to the Big Easy for Mardi Gras? Come to Snowshoe instead! We’ll celebrate Louisiana style! We’ll leave Friday evening and spend the night in Justamere cabin. It’s the place where Stephanie had her trip last year where everyone swam in the frozen creek. After a night of festivities, we’ll awaken to a hot breakfast of beignets and cafe au lait before taking to the slopes. Dinner Saturday night will be straight out of the French Quarter – red beans and rice with sausage, fried okra, and king cake for dessert. For all of you who have been on my previous trips, you know that the food alone will make the trip worth it. After dinner, the party begins – complete with carnival gear! After skiing all day Sunday, we’ll return home.
Cost will be around $20-30 depending on how many people sign up. We fit over 20 people in that cabin last year, and I’ll take that many as long as we have enough drivers. The more the merrier!

If you still don’t get one, you are just mentally-challenged and I can’t help you. You’ll just have to fork over $75 each day for a total of $150, only $50 LESS THAN THE SEASON PASS!!!!
