OVERVIEW

Last chance to enjoy a weekend at Snowshoe, WV: one of the best ski resorts in the east. The mountain offers 57 slopes in 4 different ‘territories’, and 2 great terrain parks with massive jumps, rails, and full halfpipe. We will drive to Snowshoe on Friday night (about 3 hours), party there, wake up, ski/snowboard all day, and party again on Saturday night.

We’ll all be staying in one big 6 bedroom house that features a spacious kitchen, dining area, ‘entertainment room’ with gas fireplace, outdoor hot tub, washer/dryer. Because this place is nicer than where we usually stay (which is booked), everyone will have to pay at the most about $15 which covers both nights of lodging. If more than 20 people sign up, the lodging will be cheaper and we’ll get a group lift ticket deal on saturday. With the discount, the ticket prices will be $57 adult, $52 student for a full day of skiing. You can ski on Sunday or head back with someone that has a car, your choice (no lift ticket deal on Sunday). We’ll get back anywhere from 2 to late at night, depending on when your driver leaves.

There’s room in beds for about 12 people, and there are a few couches as well. The rest will sleep in sleeping bags/pads which the club will provide. A lottery will be done to see who gets the beds. The club will also provide Saturday breakfast and dinner, as well as Sunday breakfast.

You must bring:
WARM SKI CLOTHES! Skis if you have them. If you don’t, bring money to rent some. Bring a sleeping bag/pad if you have them, otherwise, the club will provide. You will need money to get lunch on Saturday and Sunday, and you should bring food for your Friday dinner. Also bring any beverages that you may want to consume since there are no stores within a few miles. Finally, bring your checkbook or cash to pay for tickets (credit card not accepted). If you are a student, BRING YOUR STUDENT ID since you can’t get the student discount without it.

If you are at all interested — SIGN UP! In past years we’ve had a lot of people drop near the end and everyone that signed up was able to go!
