Echols Dorm: Brick Wall By Side Door
It’s a great weekend to hit the slopes, even for only one day! No lodging fees = no excuses.
We’ll plan to leave Charlottesville by 6 am at the latest to get to Snowshoe when it opens. Fun fun fun in the snow for six or so hours, then jump back in the car to be back in Charlottesville by 6ish.
So far Snowshoe has had 85” of snowfall and has 55 trails open, including the Western Territory and Spruce Glades Terrain Park. For more info on the weather/trail conditions check out: http://www.snowshoemtn.com/the-mountain/trail-and-weather-report.aspx
Regular season lift rates will set ya back ~$79 (student rate; $89 non-student) unless, of course, you got yourself a season pass. For more info about lift rates check out:
If you need to rent, snowboard and ski packages are $40/day ($35 if you reserve online). For more info check out:
Skis/snowboard if you have them or money
Lift ticket or money
At least 2 L of water
Lunch and snacks
My car does not have four-wheel drive, so drivers with appropriate cars are appreciated!
