SNP Sunset Hike

OVERVIEW

This is a beginner hike that expands upon the common out and back summit of Stony Man Mountain. It will be an awesome way to kick off Election Day with your free Tuesday. I would be open to having dinner on the trailhead if you guys are interested in that.

It’s going to be a 3.3 mile hike with 700 feet of elevation gain that will be accomplishable by most. I’ll drop the alltrails link just to give you an idea.

Things to bring:
– Sturdy hiking or trail running shoes
– Layers (check weather)
– Water (1 liters minimum I’ll probably pack 3)
– Snacks/Dinner
– Headlamp (ya never know…)

3:30 Leave UVA
4:30 Arrive at trailhead
5:30 Stop at summit to see sunset off the clouds don’t interfere
6:30 leave snp
7:30 return to your bed

Drivers will be prioritized. Drivers get full reimbursement for gas + 50% tip. Show up with a full tank of gas to be reimbursed.
