Calling all badasses

If you’ve ever wanted to explore the depths of both the Earth and the human spirit, look no further. This Sunday, I will be leading a group of young stallions into the depths of Glade Cave. We’ll be going ultra badass by not bringing any headlamps or light sources of any kind into the cave. We’ll just let our eyes and mind adjust to complete darkness. Just kidding. Everyone should have two (2) light sources with them. The club has some, but bring your own if possible.

YOU SHOULD BE COMFORTABLE CLIMBING UP EASY ROCKS. YOU SHOULD NOT BE CLAUSTRAPHOBIC.

Many parts of the cave have either small rock scrambles or tight passages where you’ll need to crawl on your stomach to get through. It’s not dangerous, just a bit scary at times. Please consider this when signing up.

Wear layers (not cotton) suitable for 54 degrees F. That’s what it will be inside the cave. Bring water, some snacks, and a celebratory beer for once we reach the outside world again. Club will provide helmets.

If you have gloves (garden gloves – gloves that can get dirty), bring them, as the oils in human skin are harmful to the cave.
