Spending the day at Wintergreen

OVERVIEW

Wintergreen is at 100%! All 20 trails and both tubing parks are open from 9am-4:30pm. And then about half of the trails are open from 5-10pm. For season pass holders: your pass is good on Sundays from 12:30pm-10pm. If you don’t have a pass you can rent a day pass (9am-4:30pm) for $52, a twilight pass (12:30pm-10pm) for $52, or night pass (5pm-10pm) for $22. For ski or snowboard rental rates for any of those times, check out Wintergreen’s website at www.wintergreenresort.com/ski/rentals.asp We’ll leave my place at 12:00, so eat your lunch before, and pack some snacks. If you plan on buying a day pass you’ll have to drive seperately and head out early. I’ll tailor the trip attendance maximum depending on how many people with cars sign up, so sign up even if the trip is full. And I’ll stay as long as everyone wants to.

UVA Outdoors provides:
Transportation, gas $$, dinner (we can either eat up on the mountain, or drive down to the Blue Ridge Pig for some fantastic bbq)

You should bring:
layers of warm fuzzy clothing, water, snacks, book (if you plan on spending the day there, its nice to take relaxing breaks around the fire place in the lodge and read or something), $$ for snacks (mmmm…hot chocolate) $$ for pass/rental, your season pass, extra socks, extra clothing layers
