Sport Climbing Day Trip to Birdsboro Quarry!!

OVERVIEW

We are doing a sport climbing trip to Birdsboro Quarry! It’s located about an hour west of Philadelphia.

IMPORTANT: THIS TRIP IS NOT INTENDED TO BE FOR BEGINNERS! YOU SHOULD AT THE VERY LEAST BE ABLE TO LEAD BELAY AND/OR CLEAN ROUTES.
ALSO IMPORTANT: WE WILL NOT BE LEAVING FROM CHARLOTTESVILLE LIKE MOST OTHER TRIPS. THE PLAN IS TO LEAVE FROM CHANTILLY/CENTREVILLE (IN NOVA)

To make it easier for everyone, please text me at 571-331-0634 after you sign up so we can figure out an exact place to meet!

Plan:
The plan is to leave from the meetup location in NOVA at around 8 A.M. We will reach the climbing quarry around 11 A.M. and head to the walls. We should be able to start climbing by Noon at the absolute latest. From then, we’ll have about 7 or 7.5 hours of climbing. So, we can leave the area by 8 P.M. at the very latest and be back to NOVA by around 11 P.M. (We can also change what time we leave based on how everyone is feeling).

THINGS YOU SHOULD BRING FOR YOURSELF: Harness, Climbing shoes, Helmet, Belay Device (If you have), Chalk (if you want it), Water (It’s gonna be hot ~95°F), lunch/food (we’re gonna be there for a while)
Since it’s the summer and there are no gear rooms you most likely will not be able to get club gear, we may be able to supply some things, but it’d be best if you have your own gear
THINGS I’LL BRING FOR EVERYONE: Rope, Quickdraws, Personal Anchor, Neosporin, Tape, and an extra gallon of water

Any extra gear you guys have will be really helpful!
