Spreading the biking bug (beginner-beginner ohill mtb)

OVERVIEW

Let me get two things out of the way first. Yes, that’s a picture of us cleaning our chicken with non-potable water this past weekend. No, there’s no actual bug I’ll be spreading.

Rather, I’m looking to spread the love of mountain biking to absolute beginners (hence the beginner-beginner in the title). This trip is prompted by the absolutely incredible biking that happened over break and Bryson’s anniversary ride last week. So here I am, hoping to take absolute beginners out onto some Ohill trails.

I WANT YOU ON THESE TRIPS! Don’t feel intimidated if you might need to hike a bike (we all do at times). That being said, knowing how to ride a bike is a requirement for this trip. You don’t have to be the best on a bike but you must feel comfortable riding on the road at the very least.

**I’ll be letting people off the waitlist by the usual bike logistics but will also be catering heavily towards absolute beginners**

If you don’t have your own mountain bike or helmet, let me know on the trip questionnaire and I’ll try to secure you a club bike/helmet.

What you bring:
– Water (Either a bottle that will fit in a bottle cage, or bring a small backpack/hip pack to hold it)
– Gloves (optional but recommended, $10 utility gloves work great)
– Closed-toe shoes
– Weather-appropriate clothing

What I bring:
– Bikes
– Helmets

Schedule:
4:30pm – meet at shrack, grab bikes, and go over basics
5pm – bike bike bike
6:30pm – return to shrack, put up bikes, and get feedback
