SPRGE Grand Finale: Sunday Sunrise Hike !! Endless Wall Trail

OVERVIEW

**This trip is only for SPRGE attendees!**
Want to enjoy the outdoors by enjoying one last lil hike before heading back to UVA? Join me for this short 3 mile hike Sunday morning!

This is supposedly a really beautiful 3.2 mile trail with a bunch of overlooks of the New River from almost 1000 feet above. Looking at the direction of the overlook it seems to face east so it should be perfect for sunrise, so I’m really excited! Here’s the plan:
6:20AM- leave campground
6:40- arrive to Nuttall parking lot trailhead and start hiking!
7:15- get to Diamond Point overlook where we’ll watch the sunrise! enjoy it for a bit
7:45- start hiking back
8:30/8:45- back at trail head
back at the campground at 9 or earlier!

I think it’s nice to have time on hikes to enjoy the views and stop and smell the roses, so this timing is pretty loose to make sure we have plenty enough wiggle room! We might get back a little earlier depending on how things go

To bring:
– HEADLAMP !! please! we’ll be hiking in the dark for the first mile or so, so a source of light is very much so needed
– water
– hiking appropriate shoes
– snacks (breakfast/gear to make breakfast if you have it and so desire?!)
– perhaps sunglasses B)
