Bonnycastle Circle
Snowshoe Mountain
Let’s head on out to Snowshoe early next week and avoid the lift lines. As with my previous trips, this trip is last minute, so it is tentative. I need enough people to sign up by Saturday morning who are pretty positive they can make the trip. Then, I need to book a cabin, probably at Green Bank to keep costs down. If it works out, and we can keep costs under $30, then great! Otherwise the trip will be canceled and I will make a day trip.
Here’s the plan: Drive up Sunday morning leaveing at 8 (I’m cranky too early in the morning, but if someone wants to leave earlier and could drive then I wouldn’t contest), ski a half day Sunday, stay a few nights at Green Bank, head back to cville Tuesday afternoon. I have set the cost right now as $0 because the final costs will be entirely dependent upon how many sign up. Also, I will add people to the trip as drivers sign up.
What the club will cover: food, gas, lodging: $5 person/night
What you owe:
With Snowshoe season pass: only lodging costs
Without Snowshoe season pass:
You are responsible for purchasing lift tickets and rental gear.
Come on guys, let’s use those season passes!
