Spring Break Rock Climbing

OVERVIEW

Come spend spring break climbing & camping at the New River Gorge. The New has some of the best sport climbing in the Eastern US.

The basic plan is to leave early in the morning on Monday, March 7th & stay until Friday afternoon. We’ll camp everynight and climb during the days (although we could put together a hike or something like that one day also). We can also explore the wonderful culture of Fayetteville and Beckley, WV. Even the dates are flexible depending on what people want to do and we could also go to the Red River Gorge (in Kentucky) for a day if people want to and depending on who signs up.

I guess that the club will pay for gas and some food but people will need money (not alot) for anything else we decide to do (go to movie, eat better food, etc.). The club can provide climbing and camping gear.

You should have climbed before, know how to tie a figure 8, and know how to belay to go on this trip. Preference will go to people who can lead/lead belay as that will allow everyone to climb more & watch less.
