Spy Rock Day Hike

OVERVIEW

Hi friends,

What better way to procrastinate studying for or even thinking about exams than with a good ol hike with great views? We’ll be hiking Spy Rock tomorrow, Saturday, it’s a little less than 6 miles total with a great summit. It is moderately strenuous with 1260 ft of elevation gain. It should be sunny but it will be cold and probably windy at the top so bring layers!

Details:
– Meet at the brick wall next to Echol’s Dorm at 10:30 AM
– Drive to the trailhead and arrive at about 12:00 PM
– Hike to the top, see some AMAZING views, eat lunch at some point and hike back down
– Drive back to Charlottesville and arrive around 4:00 PM

What to bring:
-Water (2L)
-Layers
-Snacks if you want them
-Lunch
-Good Hiking Boots/ Shoes

** Drivers needed – Will be reimbursed for gas + 50% tip, make sure you arrive to echols with a full tank of gas, thanks!
