I love Ragged Mountain Reservoir. I also love going on jogs and then stretching for a nice long while after, but I rarely take the time to do that. On this trail run I am very purposefully building that time in by planning to do some yoga afterwards!! We can run around for a bit, then when we’re feeling nice and loose and warm we can kind of free stretch and do some yoga-type moves (I am not a yoga instructor) while taking in the amazing ambiance of the reservoir.
This is a beginner trail running trip! If you’re comfortable with running ~ 3 miles at an average pace (12 min miles ish) you should be good! Also, people can go faster / slower if they wish, and we can all plan to rendezvous in a certain area if we get separated.
Plan
11:30 am – meet at corner of echols
11:45 am – arrive at Ragged
12:00 pm – stretch a bit and run!!
12:45 / 1:00 pm ish – yoga time
1:30 pm ish – finish up
2:00 – back at corner of echols
To bring:
Water !!!
Good running shoes (not crocs)
Snack if you want
Yoga mat / towel if you want
