STORYTELLING WORKSHOP @ VISIBLE RECORDS

OVERVIEW

Oh HELLOOOO FRIENDS!!!! No one look but raise your hand if you (1) kinda freaking love storytime, (2) harness a deep love for our fellow humans, animals, plants, minerals, and life and want to understand and connect with them all through story, (3) maybe think data and graphs are social constructs and the world revolves around stories, (4) are in awe of the power of oral traditions sustaining entire pooping civilizations, (5) love snacks and cozy moments with humans.

Welll my hand be waving all up in the air with so much excitement because this Saturday the Global Studies department is hosting a STORYTELLING WORKSHOP. We will gather with fellow students – and hopefully a few local residents – to channel our inner storyteller and explore what it means to craft, share, and develop narratives about our world. I’m personally really stoked for the chance to listen so deeply to our fellow students’ stories and ponderings on the world. Overall it will be a safe space to explore storytelling and revel in this wild world together, so sign on up and bring a friend if ya want!

HERE’S DA PLAN:
Convene at the corner of Echols around 4:10 and drivvy / bike on over to Visible Records (a beautiful studio-art-community-organizing space in town just past the downtown mall)
4:30-6 – Revel in the magic of STORIES amongst our beloved fellow humans and as we munch on physical and emotional sustenance of life!!!!
6:09 – back in Cville, embark upon our weekends with spice and gallump.

This will be a hybrid driving / biking trip since Visible Records be so close, so in the trip questions you can let us know which ya prefer. ALSO! DRIVERS YOU BE PRIORITIZED OFF THE WAITLIST THANK YOU FOR YOUR ROVING WHEELS.
