Bonnycastle Circle
Strickler Knob
I copy and pasted this from a past adventure that looked fun:
Let’s be real, studying is for the weak. This hike, is not. Leave the books at home, or carry them with you in defiance and jest of studying.
For the adventurous at heart, this is not just your typical 7-9 mile stroll in the woods, for Strickler throws in a plethora of joys. Including, but not limited to, a slight taste of trail -blazing, some mild bouldering, decently high elevation change, and the ‘best views in the continental US’ (Classic Hikes of the World: 23 Breathtaking Treks, pgs 4-20).
All without the throngs of people at tourist destinations like old rag. –
But really, the views are rated 8 on a scale of 1-5 stars. don’t ask me how that’s possible, but it is.
Bring:
water
layers
FOOD (don’t make the mistake of forgetting food in your excitement to escape the cells of Clemons. lunch and snacks. snacks on snacks.)
Leave:
any academic related stress behind until 7:00pm when you realize how glad you were to enjoy a nice day outside rather than in the library.
