UVA Garden 9
garden 9/garrett hall-ish patio area
As the weather has been getting consistently warmer, I’ve been venturing about in a transition from my winter wear (sandals) to my summer shoes (bare feet)! I thought it would be fun for any other foot travelers to join me on a walk around grounds where we relish in good weather and explore all the different places our feet can step! My favorite thing about barefoot walking is being able to feel all the different grounds we travel. I was thinking we could start in the gardens where we can enjoy our feet in the grass, traverse across the bricks of McCormick road, maybe transition to some sidewalk, and end up near Ohill to try our feet on the trail!!
What you need:
– maybe some snacks & water for the walk!
– any other luxuries you might deem desirable (like shoes – in case your feet get sensitive or you don’t feel comfortable walking on any surface we come across)
3pm – meet in the garden/garrett hall if fellows get lost!
3:01 – 4:29pm – walk through grounds shoeless!
4:30pm – depart back into the land of grounds, perhaps with shoes or without….?
In general, this is a very flexible schedule & route that we could veer off to include more shenanigans (barefoot tree climbing!?!?) that entice us along the way!!! Feel free to join even if your feet are usually imprisoned in shoes!
