Sugar Hollow Camping

OVERVIEW

Heyo! It feels like awhile since I have had a simple camping trip. Let’s get out to sugar hollow this weekend for a quick overnighter.

Sugar Hollow is about 30 minutes away in Crozet. The camping spot I know of is about 1 to 2 miles into the hike but we can really go wherever. There is a nice stream to listen to at night.

I’ll bring a dutch oven to make some kind of dessert. I’ll also bring a stove. Otherwise food is up to you!

It’s probably going to be cold so be prepared for that. I definitely plan on making a nice fire.

You bring:
Food
sleeping bag
shelter (tent or hammock with tarp)
sleeping pad
clothing (layers so base, mid, and jacket at the least)
A backpack to carry that all in.
water

I’ll bring:
a stove
a water filter
a dutch oven with dessert
wine or beer or spirts depending on how i’m feeling day of.

Finally, if you absolutely can not make a gear room cause of the late post shoot me an email cause I can probably help you out with gear.
