Corner of Echols
Corner of Echols
The Priest Wilderness Parking Area, Unnamed Road, Tyro, VA 22976, USA
Within George Washington National Forest passes this segment of the Appalachian Trail, The Priest. More of a workout than the average hike, this summit is 9 total miles with 3000 feet elevation gain. I anticipate it will be about six hours of hiking, alongside an hour drive there plus the hour back. I have read that this summit features a spectacular view so I am endeavoring out there to witness it with my own eyes and escape my classes for some fresh air this Saturday.
