Blackrock Summit, Appalachian National Scenic Trail, Grottoes, VA, USA
To start it off easy this semester let’s do a nice sunset. This will be in tandem with a sunrise Sunday morning so I (and anyone who does both) will be watching the sun leave and come back. This’ll be at Blackrock summit (https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/virginia/blackrock-summit-via-trayfoot-mountain-and-appalachian-trail) so it’s a super chill half mile up there and some rock scrambling up to the top. Very beginner friendly to any of our new first years! Sunset is at 7:49 so if we leave by 6:20 we should be good since it’s an hour to blackrock, and a short walk up.
The fee is only if no one in the other car has a park pass, so if you have one you may get priority. But only one more is needed since I have one.
To those unfamilar from covid or being new: Meet at the little brick wall in front of Echols and that side street, then we can vamoose

DRIVER(S) NEEDED: The drive is about 1 hours/42.0 miles and you will be reimbursed for gas + 50% tip, as well as get priority off the waitlist. You have to arrive with a full tank of gas to get reimbursed.
