Sun Stalking Series: Sunday Sunrise

OVERVIEW

Okay so not as easy as a sunset, but the effort just makes it more enjoyable (at least I tell myself that). This’ll be at Bearfence (https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/virginia/bearfence-mountain-trail) which is a pretty chill hike with a wee bit of rock scrambling.
The weather is calling for a partly cloudy morning with thunderstorms in the afternoon so we should be safe but there is a risk of cancelling if the weather gets worse. But also the cloudy sunrises are the ones that can be the best, so more risk, more reward.

The plan
– 5:00 AM meet at echols
– 6:00 AM we ascend
– 6:36 AM the sun will come out
– 7:20 AM we leave
– 8:20 AM we back

What to bring:
mask
hikin’ shoes
water
snack/breakfast
headlamp/flashlight
a sweater? (mornings can be chilly)
