Echols Dorm: Brick Wall By Side Door
Snowshoe Mountain
Join me for a day trip to Snowshoe resort for ~6 hours on the slopes. We’ll leave town early to get to the mountain at ~9am (when it opens), get as many runs in as we can, then leave the resort at around 3 to get home at ~6pm.
As of now Sunday’s forecast looks decent with highs in the mid 30s and a 30% chance of rain/snow (hopefully more on the snow side). So far they have had 125” of snowfall and have 60 trails open including the Western Territory and Spruce Glades Terrain Park. For more info on the weather/trail conditions check out: http://www.snowshoemtn.com/the-mountain/slope-report/slope-report.aspx
Regular season lift rates will set ya back ~$79 unless you took Mitch up on his offer to hook you up with a season pass. If you need to rent, snowboard and ski packages are $40/day.
You should bring your gear, appropriate apparel, your season pass if you have one, money for pass/rental if you need to, snacks, water, pack a lunch or bring money, food/snacks/money/H2O for the ride home, ways to entertain yourself in transit (my car stereo is broken 🙁 ).
