Echols Dorm: Brick Wall By Side Door
Snowshoe Mountain
Join me for a day trip to Snowshoe resort for ~6 hours on the slopes. We’ll leave town early to get to the mountain at ~9am (when it opens), get as many runs in as we can, then leave the resort at around 3 to get home at ~6pm.
As of now Sunday’s forecast looks decent with highs in the mid 30s and a 60% chance of rain/snow (hopefully more on the snow side). The trip is far enough away to put much faith in the weather forecast, but if, a day or 2 before the trip, the forecast looks iffy for driving conditions, I may cancel.
So far Snowshoe has had 85” of snowfall and has 55 trails open, including the Western Territory and Spruce Glades Terrain Park. For more info on the weather/trail conditions check out: http://www.snowshoemtn.com/the-mountain/trail-and-weather-report.aspx
Regular season lift rates will set ya back ~$79 (student rate; $89 non-student) unless, of course, you got yourself a season pass. For more info about lift rates check out:

If you need to rent, snowboard and ski packages are $40/day ($35 if you reserve online). For more info check out:

You should bring your gear, appropriate apparel, your season pass if you have one, money for pass/rental if you need to, snacks, water, pack a lunch or bring money, food/snacks/money/H2O for the ride home, ways to entertain yourself in transit.
I can take 3-4 extra peeps, depending on gear transport needs, but can open the trip up to more folks if drivers sign up.
