Back by popular demand, another stargazing trip to one of the best stargazing spots on the East Coast — Highland County! There’s not a light for miles near this mountain valley, which means zero light pollution. The sky’s set to be mostly clear on Sunday (~20-25% cloud cover is the estimate I’m seeing right now, subject to change maybe), and the weather’s warmed up enough that we won’t freeze outside! As always, drivers get priority off the waitlist, and get reimbursed gas + 50% tip (up to $20)
What to bring:
* A jacket/long pants (temps will be high 40s-low 50s)
* A flashlight/headlamp
* A blanket to lay on
* Water/snacks
* A small telescope if ya got one
Timeline:
* 7:30 PM – head out from echols
* 9:30 PM – get to the stargazing spot, enjoy the views
* 11:30 PM – head back to cville
* 1:00-1:30 AM – arrive back in cville
