Bearfence Mountain Trail
Bearfence is a little Shenandoah gem. It’s short (<1 mile), has a fun baby rock scramble, and has a nice spot at the top to sit while the sun rises. We will depart from the Student Activities Building (on the Stadium side, right in front of the building) at 0545, arrive at the trailhead around 0645, reach the top around 0700, watch the sunrise (0715), then head back and be in Charlottesville by 0900; enough time to make it back for your 0930 class. Since this is a waitlist relief hike, I will give priority to those who have been waitlisted many times or who have never been on a trip before! Vent your waitlist frustrations in the comments box.
