Sunrise at Humpback

OVERVIEW

Drivers get priority off the waitlist!
Do you want to start your morning with some hiking and see the sunrise too? Humpback Rock is just under a mile and is a great hike for any level, but it does get very steep and can be challenging. We won’t go too fast and we will take breaks as needed. Keep in mind that it will be dark, so headlamps/flashlights are definitely recommended. It gets windy and cold at the top so bring a jacket/layers.

the plan:
4:50 – meet at Echols, leave by 5:00 at the latest
5:30 – Arrive at Humpback and start hiking
6:10- Reach the summit and wait for the sunrise around 6:25
7:00ish – start heading back down (depending on how long people want to stay)
7:30ish – get back to car
8:00 – back at Echols

what to bring:
– flashlight/headlamp
– water
– jacket/layers
– snacks?
