Sunrise at Humpback – Waitlist Relief Hike

OVERVIEW

Let’s head up to Humpback for a sunrise to start the week! Humpback is short and steep (~1 mile, ~800 ft elevation gain) with some nice rocks to play on at the top. It is also a great spot to watch the sun come up over the horizon.

We will depart from the Student Activities Building (on the Stadium side, right in front of the building) at 0600, arrive at the trailhead around 0630, reach the top around 0700, watch the sunrise (0712), then head back and be in Charlottesville by 0830. We will be back in time for 0900 classes.

Since this is a waitlist relief hike, I will give priority to those who have been waitlisted many times or who have never been on a trip before! Vent your waitlist frustrations in the comment section.
