Sunrise hike at Black Rock

OVERVIEW

If you want to experience the beautiful golden rays of a Virginia sunrise, join us on an early morning hike to Black Rock Summit! The plan:
5 am – Leave Echols
6 – Arrive at trailhead and start hiking
6:30 – Reach the summit
6:50 – Sunrise and hike down
9 ish- back to grounds!

The actual hike should only take about 30 minutes and has a fun rock scramble, making this hike great for beginners. If you want to check it out some more:

Snacks
Backpack to carry said water and snacks
Sturdy shoes
Headlamp recommended!
