Sunrise Humpback Waitlist-Relief Hike

OVERVIEW

Are you dying to get outdoors and breathe in the fresh winter air? Have you been prevented from doing so by lengthy waitlists? Well, officer ASAP is here to save the day.

I will give preference according to your trips waitlisted:trips attended ratio (after I get some drivers). If you’re driving, come with a full tank!! Bring reimbursement forms!!!

As this is a waitlist-relief hike, I’ll be more stringent on people who withdraw after the deadline. But as always, text me 8478630008 if anything comes up.

Hike info:
Humpback is a short but steep hike, ~1 mile long with ~800 ft. elevation gain. This trip is beginner friendly and time efficient.

The timeline:
Depart from Echols with full tanks of gas at 5:30am
Reach the hike at 6:00
Get to the top around 6:30
Watch the sunrise until 6:50
Hike down and arrive back in Charlottesville no later than 8am

Everyone will be waitlisted until I have a driver or two. Drivers get waitlist priority. The club provides reimbursement for gas plus 50% tip.

You bring:
– snack/breakfast
– appropriate footwear
– water
– car (for waitlist priority)
