Sunrise Humpback (Whale Watching?)

OVERVIEW

Fellow adventurers,

I’ve stumbled upon a tapestry, written by my ancestors, which contains a prophecy referring to the morning of April 20th, 2016. I spent all of last week decoding it, and its a pretty big deal.

The symbols on the tapestry depicts Paikea, the legendary Maori whale-rider, visiting the summit of Humpback Rocks under a rising sun (on his humpback steed of course, where do you think the name of the hike came from?) It is said that Paikea will appear from the hazy horizon bearing gifts to any member of the Outdoors Club community who is willing to greet him. I plan on being there, will you?

Join me this Wednesday to witness the prophecy unfold. We’ll meet at the brick wall by Echols, but my car can only fit a total of 5 people. I’d love to have a large crew at the summit to greet the sun and Paikea (6:33 AM), so anyone with a car will priorities. Drivers, PLEASE SIGN UP. Everyone will be waitlisted until I have at least one other driver. It’s supposed to be a beautiful day, so the more the merrier. I have class at 11, so I will try to be back by 10:30, which should give us plenty of time to hang out with our whale-rider friend. PLEASE don’t be late or we may miss him completely:/
