OVERVIEW

Join us while we watch the sunset and then lie back to see the stars gradually appear as the sunlight dissipates.

If the sky is clear, we’ll definitely see satellites and maybe some shooting stars. It will be fun to identify constellations and planets.

If the sky is not clear, the sunset will still be nice. A few clouds make for an excellent sunset.

Please meet at 5:45 pm sharp. The drive will take about 40 min. The hike to the cliffs will be only 0.6 miles (~15 min). The sunset will be at 6:52 pm tuesday. After relaxing for a while, we’ll be hiking back to the cars in the dark so please bring a flashlight or headlamp.

It might be chilly and windy at the cliffs, so please bring plenty of warm clothing like a hat and gloves. Also bring something to sit or lie back on which will make you comfortable while insulating you from the rock face. (like a large blanket). In addition, please bring 1 liter of water, and bug spray if you like. You may want to consider bringing rain gear just in case.

If you don’t have time to eat, bring food with you.

I will increase the group size when I get volunteers to drive.
