Sunset & Snickerdoodles (Stony Man Sunset Hike!)

OVERVIEW

It’s officially cozy szn and you guys all know what that means – pumpkin spice everything. My hot take: pumpkin spice is overrated (controversial, I know). Snickerdoodle is clearly the superior fall flavor!! And what better way to enjoy the cinnamony goodness of snickerdoodle than while watching a killer sunset??
If you’re like me and love a nice hike as much as a good cookie, then I have just the adventure for you. I’ve never been to Stony Man but I’ve heard great things about the sunsets there so it seems like a solid spot to go enjoy the ~fall vibes~ of Shenandoah. The hike itself is a fairly easy 1.6 miles so it should be pretty doable for anyone 🙂

~The Plan~
● meet at echols @ 4:00
● leave by 4:10 and drive about 1 ½ hours to the trailhead
● head up the mountain at about 5:40
● watch the sunset at 6:25 and chow down on some delicious snickerdoodle cookies ( don’t worry about bringing your own – I got you guys 🙂 )
● hike back down to the car when we’re ready, drive home, and arrive back in Cville around 9:00

Stuff to bring:
● $5 or park pass for entry into Shenandoah National Park
● plenty of water
● snackz (if you want more than just cookies)
● flashlight/headlamp !
● warm layers!! (it’s going to be chilly up there!)
● sturdy shoes

DRIVERS NEEDED!! Drivers get priority off the waitlist, gas reimbursed, and a 50% tip! Please show up with a full tank.
