OVERVIEW

Have you been interested in trying out a backcountry MTB ride but not sure which one’s right for you? This is it! Narrowback has super friendly, flowy fun riding with forgiving climbs. We are planning to ride 11mi with 1300′ climbing, and take an easy pace. You’ll get two great descents and a great intro taste of the Stokesville area – which has arguably the best mountain biking in VA. As always, if you’re on the fence or want more info, contact either of us by clicking our profiles.

Here are the trails we’ll ride:

Now, if Narrowback sounds like a great appetizer but you think you’ll be hungry for more, not to worry. Conveniently, the Narrowback trail system sits just at the bottom of what might be the best piece of downhill mountain biking in the state: timber-wolf ridge. This will start with a mega road climb, nearly 3000′ to the top of Reddish Knob. Then, you’ll get the pleasure of ripping it all back downhill on a chunky, engaging trail featuring larger step-downs, tight berms, and lots of cool features. For those joining for this Reddish lap, the total ride will more or less 29mi 4500′. https://www.mtbproject.com/trail/7001381/reddish-knob-timber-ridge-to-wolf-ridge
