Sustainability Lunch and Learn

OVERVIEW

Do you like sustainability? Reading? FREE FOOD? If so, this Office of Sustainability lunch and learn is for you! From the Office of Sustainability: UVA Sustainability is excited to host Leidy Klotz, UVA Professor of Architecture & Engineering, and author of the book “Subtract: The Untapped Science of Less” which demonstrates how humans systematically overlook subtractive solutions. During this lunch & learn, we will explore this concept as it relates to sustainability and environmental challenges, encouraging us all to design stronger solutions with this new understanding of our own cognitive and behavioral tendencies.

This book talk will be a very chill environment to discuss Leidy Klotz’s “Subtract,” and get a free, yummy lunch from Sticks.

The plan:
11:40 – Meet at echols dorm, walk over to Ridley Hall
12-1 – Lunchin and learnin
1 – Leave the lunch and learn with tummies full of free food and minds full of new sustainable ponderings
