Swimmin in the Mountains

OVERVIEW

I once heard a story that early colonizers of North America would be hit in the fall season with powerful storms which would uproot trees and demolish houses. After days of destruction the storm would abate and the people would leave their shelter and celebrate in the sun. Little did they know they were in the eye of a hurricane, and more danger was to follow. Wednesday’s Reading Day is our eye of the storm, and I for one wish to rejoice.

Melodramatics Aside: Wednesday is supposed to be hawt, let’s go swim. South River Falls is the third tallest waterfall in Shenandoah and it’s a 3-4 mile hike to the base of it and back. We will surely find a nice little nook to set up a picnic, hangout, and of course, swim.
We will head out from Echols ’round 10 and plan to be back by 4.

Sturdy Shoes
Lunch/Picnic Supplies (We can stop by the store to pick up any essentials)
Water

Drivers will get priority as will folks with SNP passes
