Tackling The Priest!

OVERVIEW

(No priests will be tackled in the tackling of The Priest.)

Finally returning to one of my favorite trails! I hiked The Priest in January when it was covered in snow, and I’ve been itching to come back once it’s green and warm (and I don’t have to trudge through waist-high snowdrifts). If you like a challenge, this is for you! It’s an 8.5 mile out-and-back trail pretty much straight up and down a mountain, with 3100 feet of elevation gain. You’ll be rewarded with the breathtaking view from the summit, and trust me, it doesn’t disappoint!

Plan:
10:00: Leave Echols
11:00: Arrive at the Priest parking area
5:00: Finish hike
6:00: Arrive back at Echols

What to bring:
-Water and lunch/snacks
-Sturdy hiking shoes/boots
-Good vibes

*An extra driver is needed, so if you have a car you’ll get priority off the waitlist. Gas will be reimbursed +50% tip. Need to show up with a full tank of gas!
*Since this is a strenuous hike, I’d like everyone to have at least a moderate amount of hiking experience under their belt.
