THE HAWKS ARE BACK

OVERVIEW

The birds are back baby for our LAST falcon trip of the year. Join me on an epic hike up ohill to meet Drake Haydock and the two red tailed hawks he trains before they are released back into the wild. Drake is a professional falconer local to the Charlottesville area. The plan is to chat with him about birds and falconry, see some flight/hunting demos, and *maybe* even get to hold one of the birds!! I’ll be there to take some epic photos so we can try for an ODC Instagram feature. Again, this is the last falconry trip so please sign up! It’s not everyday you get to see two beautiful red tailed hawks in action plus Drake is super knowledgable about all things falconry. I’ll see you then (dramatic, majestic sound of hawk flying away).

The Plan:
12:00pm Meet at the parking lot at Kellogg Dorm (up O Hill!)
12:05pm Walk over to where we’re meeting Drake on O Hill
12:15pm Drake shows us the giant birds he keeps in his trunk
1/1:15pm?? Return to wherever you wish with legendary and epic falconry experience that you’ll cherish for years to come
