The Priest Hike!!!

OVERVIEW

Hi everyone!! Can’t make it to NGRE but still want to get outside over the weekend? Then this is the trip for you! It’s time to take advantage of this beautiful fall weather and summit the Priest! This is an 8.6 mile out and back hike with a 3000 ft elevation gain so is probably considered more of an intermediate level but we can take breaks as needed (and stop for lunch at the summit of course).

The plan:
Meet at Echols at 9:00 am – We’ll get to the trailhead around 10:00
Start Hiking!! We’ll reach the top at around 1:00 and stop for some lunch and to take in those views
Hike back down- return to the cars around 5:00
Return to grounds around 6:00 right in time for dinner

What to bring:
– 1-2 L of water (at least)
-lunch/snacks
-sturdy hiking shoes
-LAYERS!!!

**I personally do not have a car so drivers will be given priority off the waitlist! Drivers will be reimbursed for gas money plus a 50% tip.
