The Second Successful Bearfence Sunrise

OVERVIEW

***POSTPONED UNTIL 2/14 THERE WILL BE LOVE IN THE AIR***

If you’ve been up to date on what other trip leaders have been up to, you’ll know that not one, but TWO other trip leaders have attempted to venture up the Bearfence Mountain Trail to catch a glimpse at what glorious sunrise might be visible from its peak. And they both failed tragically.

And NOW, Mason thinks he can just swoop in out of nowhere and become some sort of Bearfence sunrise hero?? And make people meet him at the Dillard dumpster??? At 5:40am on a Friday???? I’ll pass. And so should you.

Here’s the schedule (which I’m pretty much ripping from Mason’s trip, which he pretty much ripped from Ali Sullivan’s previous attempt):

5:35 – Meet at Echols (just like every other trip ever)
5:40 – Get the heck outta dodge (what does this even mean?)
6:40 – Get to the trailhead and walk a lil bit
7:05 – The sun rises and we take better pics than Mason will to be posted on the interwebs
8:40 – Back in Hooville in time to get learnt

bring:
-sturdy shoes
-layers/blankets/sleeping bags; whatever will maximize your comfort
-dihydrogen monoxide & any snacks/breakfast your heart desires
-tunes and tales
-books if ya got class

headlights will NOT be necessary, but feel free to bring one if you want

DRIVERS NEEDED!
-drivers get priority off the waitlist. The club reimburses for gas +50% tip!
-drivers need to show up to Echols with a full tank of gas!
